VERY Annoying Windows Update Problem
I tried the Microsoft Windows Update Troubleshooter, found the reference number, tried all of the fixes to no avail. I'm using Win98SE on a HP Pavilion with an 850MHz AMD Athlon processor, 45GB Hard Drive, 384MB RAM and IE6 SP1. Anyone have a solution???? Windows Update Troubleshooter

RPC Stub and Windows Update Problem - Again!
I have a problem with windows update. For some reason when I go to Windows Update on the Tools menu in IE5, it blank the page like it getting ready to load, then says 'done' on the bottom progress bar and nothing else happens. Any have ideas what is causing this to happen? A few days ago it was working just fine.

I'm using Windows 98SE. My wife managed to update IE5.5 with an IE6.0 service pack. Now the computer can find the files needed to update but then it doesn't download them. A dialog box opens which tells me it's downloading the files, but nothing happens. I fixed this once but forgot how.
